This contest is all about supporting (RED), the cause known for fighting for an AIDS free generation by 2015.

Redesign a character contest!If there's something we love about fan art is how artists take artistic liberties and portray characters in their own style and different scenarios we wouldn't see otherwise. Some people will say that fan art is unoriginal, but from experience there's a lot of creativity involved when it comes to depicting your favourite characters in a different light, deviating from the way they were designed by their creators.
This is why, inspired by the Pokedesign Challenge by *CrazyRatty on Tumblr, your friendly neighborhood Fan Art CVs decided to host a fun little contest for you!
How it works:
Pick a character from any fandom you like.
Come up with at least 3 different re-designs for them and put them in a single image.

Film, Animation and Flash Mini-Contest!Hello folks! So this month is Flash, Animation and Flash month for the #ArtHistoryProject.
So me and ^SqueakyToybox have been discussing about the idea of having a joint contest! We struggled for a while to find a good theme that would apply well across these mediums. So then we thought deviantART is full of members across the world. Even myself I'm from the UK and ^SqueakyToybox is from Australia so we're literally halfway across the world from each other.
So we thought a good theme to set you all is:

We would like you to create a piece of work using animation, video or Flash and we will award prizes for each gallery! So we will have a prize for a winner and runner up for film/animation and the same for Flash.

Basking in the glory of finally getting recognised for your hard efforts and photographic skill is pretty awesome and at the start of this week I took the opportunity to enjoy *Fuzzypiggy's after he got published in a UK Photography Magazine. CSS Contest: Pure & White - Ended

While people love to work on skins that burst with colors, it is now time to take a step back and try something new.
Not everybody feels comfortable using white, but this time it will be your challenge! Do you feel ready for it?

For this contest you have to create a new design or skin that uses white as the dominant 'color'. You are allowed to use only one additional color, but can use any shade of grey. There should be no black added to your entry either!
Only exception to this would be very small buttons and 1 smaller photo to enhance your entry.

Create something clean, fresh and pure that will enhance your own experience or those of random guests and visitors.

If you are not a coder feel free to create a design, if you know your business go ahead and create a complete skin. Choose on your own if it will be for a journal or a gallery.

Be sure to add in your comments that you used a CSS generator to create your skin. Many of the CSS groups around do not accept generator skins.
